Three Go To Pieces (2003)
My role: concept, artistic direction and choreography
“A high energy portrait of marriage, love, misery and mis-communication. Choreography that is stylish and complex. A show that stays with you.” - Kate Castle, Director of Dance South West
“A remarkable fusion of dance and film. The choreography is tender, erotic, witty and obsessive; comic, moving, upsetting and uplifting by turns.” - Chris Fogg, Writer and Director, Take Art
Three Go to Pieces was an interdisciplinary production in three acts, weaving together movement, design, film, dance, theatre, and original text. I collaborated with Anglo-Brazillian company f.a.b.-The Detonators, award winning screenwriter, John Foster, and long term digital collaborator, Paul Inman. The production explored love, rage, passion, and obsession and was supported by Lighthouse, South West Screen, Dance South West, Dorset Dance, Mathmos Lighting Design, the Baring Foundation, and Arts Council England.
