The Butcher Street Girls was commissioned by Cornwall’s Cscape Dance as part of the company’s Guilty Fingers tour (2006 – 2008).

Drawing on real and imagined stories of women surviving the war in Northern Ireland’s 1970s, the piece highlighted the bitter divisions driving communities to commit heinous crimes against their own. I collaborated with filmmaker Paul Inman and set designer Fiona Chivers to create a hard hitting piece of visual storytelling.
