In 2020, Vidya invited me to join her team, alongside Carnatic vocalist Manorama Prasad and Bharata Natyam choreographer Stella Uppal Subbiah, to begin research into Sites of Belonging.

We investigated the human need to attach, commit, and belong, concentrating on the Indian concept of Bhakti and exploring visceral readings of the devotee. Classical Bharata Natyam elements and live Carnatic vocals were combined with film to explore these themes.
